What are the most important reception tables at a wedding?:
The Guestbook Table:As your guests arrive you’ll need a table for the guestbook for your loved ones to sign in and pick up their escort card. This is an important table as it helps with the organization of the event and creates a keepsake.
The Gift Table:A table for all the generous gifts from your friends and family.
The Memory Table:Not everyone has this one, but adding this as one of your reception tables is a beautiful way for everyone to cherish their loved ones who have passed away.
The Head Table:The head table is where you and your spouse and potentially immediate family members or the bridal party will sit.
The Guest Table:You will have many of these. The guest tables are where your friends and family will sit and enjoy dinner and the reception program.
The Food Table:Make sure you plan enough space for the food table. This is where all your guests will be able to pick up their food.
The Drink Table:Alcohol or not, you’ll still want to set up a bar table for people to order their drinks. If you are having a cocktail hour, you’ll also need to order some cocktail tables!
The Cake Table:Often the centerpiece of the reception, you’ll need a small table for the cake and desserts.
The DJ Table:Coordinate with your DJ or musicians to determine the best setup. This isn't necessarily one of the reception tables you'll use for ambiance, but you also don't need a cheesy prom set up either.

Top 12 Wedding Fall Cake ToppersTraditional and seasonally influenced is a no brainer! Our favorite this season is the couple kissing under the umbrella. It’s the traditional bride and groom but it is customizable, and it’s a unique pose that tells us a story. We love the little detail of her rain boots under her dress. It captures the romantic nature of Autumn with a kiss in the rain. Links: A popular theme during the Fall for weddings is the warm and rustic theme, which typically feature elements inspired by nature. This is the perfect opportunity to utilize your creativity and DIY skills. If you don’t have a crafty hand, there are some amazing craftsman out there with ready-made toppers with customizable rustic flair options.
Wedding Collectibles 5 Star Reviews! Personalized Rustic Cake Topper I did receive my package and it is perfect! Love the smell of the wood too. 09-27-2018 by Katherine JohnsonLinks:
Cake toppers with spunk!Everyone enjoys a quirky bride that goes with her gut and takes advantage of this season to choose a more offbeat wedding theme! We love this classic script cake topper with the quirky saying. Perhaps our favorite thing about cake toppers is that it gives you a romantic keepsake to bring home after the big day. These cake toppers will all be great in a frame or on a shelf as a reminder of your wedding and the “mutual weirdness” that makes your relationship so fun! Links: Depending on your style and design of the cake, you may opt out of a cake topper entirely. Or, you may want to go with something more fresh or natural for the season. Whatever the case, couples that choose fall cake toppers that are unique to them are the ones that are most memorable. Head over to Wedding Collectibles to start your search for the perfect cake topper today!
First, let’s talk about the pros of an autumn wedding!
Autumn weddings are typically easier on your wallet!Because it is the off-season for a lot of companies, getting married in October or November will help you save money on everything from the ceremony and reception venues to the DJ you hire.
Best Season for the Rustic Chic BrideAlso, it's the perfect season to utilize a more rustic and DIY style for decor and guest favors. Whether you actually make your decor or use a DIY kit, the fall is the time to do it! Be sure to check out some of our DIY wedding cake toppers! You can build your own custom cake topper that is uniquely you!!
It' Great for Romantic Themed Photo ShootsOne way to have fun in the beginning stage of wedding planning is to hire a photographer and do a fun engagement shoot. The fall is open to a lot of warm and fun themes, like fall festivals, harvests, and if you want to really get into it Halloween! If you're having a fall wedding, be sure to have fun with your engagement announcement with an autumn themed shoot! The Fall season is rich with color, scents, and textures that can be applied to everything at your wedding from the decor to the FOOD. Imagine an amazing scent of fresh apples, baked mini pies, and hot chocolate filling the room! That sound like the coziest wedding reception ever! We found lots of ideas for food and wedding decor from Elegant wedding Invites. We love the elegant but cozy s’mores bar!
Okay some of the "cons"…
Rain. Rain. Go. Away. While we hope you won’t let rain deter you from having an Autumn wedding, it's a possibility, and something you should consider when selecting your venue. No one wants to be rained out on their wedding day! There are however a lot of ways to work around the weather. Look at this couples fall Seattle wedding where it rains all the time! Just know that if you are set on hosting an outdoor wedding, then you need to be sure any out of town guest are aware of appropriate attire for the season. Plus, you may need to budget for tents or guest umbrellas too for your ceremony and reception.
Holiday Traffic JamYou may also be dealing with the holidays. Whether you celebrate holidays or not, they can effect the planning of your wedding. For example, this can be a more expensive time of year for out of town guests to travel. You’ll want to send them save-the-dates early to give them plenty of time to coordinate time off and to book their travel. You should also expect a few “no-shows” since it is a busy time of the year for people and they may not be able to take the extra time off for your wedding.
In case you couldn't tell...We'd say the pros have it! Fall is an amazing time for your special day! With the rich colors, textures, and yummy flavors of the season, your guests will be swept away with the spirit of romance and festivity.
Number Two: Arthur & Guinevere Pewter Cake TopperYou may not have the fate of Camelot resting on your shoulders or be facing the test of being able to pull the sword from the stone, BUT that doesn't mean your love isn't a tale for the ages! And look, the way they hold hands makes the negative space into a heart!! It's kind of the perfect fantasy cake topper is it not?
Number Three: Skulls Groom Kissing Bride Wedding Cake TopperAre you a Gothic bride, want to celebrate the Day of the Dead, or just really emphasize that till death you do you NOT part? Then this skeletal bride and groom is for you! We have several options within this theme (Check out the Fantasy and Gothic cake toppers tab!), but this is one of our favorites because it is modeled after the traditional bride and groom, and yet still totally unique.
Number Four: Fairy Tale Dreams Castle Cake TopperComplete with the inscribed "And they lived happily ever after..." this fairy tale castle cake topper will look great at your fantasy wedding!
Number Five: Rose Heart Pewter Cake TopperThis is one of our less obvious fantasy cake toppers. Entwined vines and roses create a simple heart shape that will add the perfect note atop your fantasy wedding cake.
Wedding Theme: Alice in Wonderland WeddingPhoto Credit: Shoot It Photography styled by From the Wilde Products A great way to infuse your wedding with playfulness is to let your design be inspired by a theme. Of course, you want to avoid your wedding theme causing a look of an 8 year old's birthday party, but done right, a wedding theme can lead to some of the most spectacular wedding styles. Today we are looking at the classic and whimsical tale of Alice in Wonderland. This story may not be a romantic story, but it's magical whimsy really captures the feeling that is falling in love! For this wedding theme, we encourage brides to be INSPIRED versus directly pulling exact images from the classic tale.
What do we mean by this?
- Dress your bridesmaids in pretty light blue dresses, but not an Alice costume with headband and all.
- Your flower girl could wear a light pink striped dress to infer to the Cheshire cat, but no need to have Cheshire grins floating in the trees.
- Have the groom's wardrobe include a classic pocket-watch (bonus points if it's a family heirloom), but nothing over-sized and goofy.
- Playing cards would be great place cards, but there is no need to make them look like they can walk off the table on their own.
- Splattered red white roses can be fun, but perhaps not as the centerpiece of every table and definitely NOT over-sized.
Below are a few products from our shop that would make a great addition to your Alice in Wonderland Wedding.[gallery size="medium" ids="7496,7495,7494,7493,7490,7489,7488,7486,7485,7482,7484,7491" orderby="rand"]

Keep the Colors SimpleKeep the colors clean and simple, is an easy way to set an elegant vibe. Now, the colors don't have to be light, but I would suggest staying away from anything too bright.
Fit for Royal-teaOne thing to emphasize with a bridal shower, is that it can be a more playful elegance. These beautifully frosted cookies are really reminiscent of a fancy and proper tea party. Though, you can get a little fancier if you want to!
Classic Beauty for an Elegant Bridal ShowerIf you want simple elegance, go with pearls! We love this example from Tak Photography because it highlights how - pretty - it can be. There is nothing old about this bridal shower look. It is simply, lovely.
Something Fit for a BrideFor you, we suggest something elegant and bridal of course! Now it doesn't have to be white, but for elegance it might be best not to wear something highlighter green!
